Are you an experienced Administrator with a knowledge of finance?
We have an interesting and varied vacancy for a Farming Engagement Support Officer working as part of the Quantock Hills Projects Team on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2025.
You will lead the administration of the Teams landscape projects, particularly the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) Programme and Greater Quantock Landscape Development Fund (GQLDF). This includes providing financial support such as monitoring budgets, processing claims and reports for Defra and other funders, using Somerset Councils financial systems. You will also provide administrative support such as setting up meetings and prepare papers and minutes for the Local Assessment Panel.
You will also produce promotional materials such as press releases and post on social media, which is a key engagement tool and provide assistance with event organisation.
