Please note the following:

You will need permission from the relevant landowners before carrying out activity such as group activities, flying drones or scattering ashes, especially in protected locations such as Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

The Quantock Hills are home to important wildlife, including ground-nesting birds who are easily disturbed, particularly at this time of year.

If you’re planning an activity on the Quantock Hills, such as a group activity, flying a drone (UAV), or scattering ashes - you must contact the Quantock Hills National Landscape Team at least 14 working days in advance.  Submitting a request last minute (or not hearing back) means any required permissions will not have been granted.

For more information about planning an event visit our website at Information for event organisers | Quantock Hills.  You can also view SSSI land boundaries here Magic Map Application.

All enquiries should be forwarded to us at quantockhills@somerset.gov.uk

Thank you for helping us to protect this special landscape! 💚
