Winter on the Quantocks Guided Walk (9 miles)

Crowcombe to Longstone Hill 15km Circular Walk.

Quantock Volunteer Rangers Don & John will lead you on a guided walk from the village of Crowcombe to Longstone Hill and back via Higher Hare Knap.

Meet at 9:45am at Church House car park, Crowcombe, TA4 4AA for a 10:00am start.  Grid reference ST 14036 36636.

A strenuous/moderate walk of approximately 15 kilometres (9 miles) from Crowcombe to the highest point on this walk, Higher Hare Knap, being 312 metres above sea level on the Quantock Hills.  Duration approx 4/5 hours.

Views from the summit will depend on the weather but are likely to include the Brendon hills, Exmoor and South Wales.

The route will be along narrow lanes and rural tracks, which may be muddy and stony, the route will also include some steep ascents and descents.

Sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing should be worn; the walk will take about four to five hours, so you should bring food and drink with you.
