Wellbeing Wander (Fungi)

|Fyne Court
Our monthly Wellbeing Wanders offer the chance to enjoy a gentle stroll with a focus on a particular nature theme each time. In small groups of up to 10 participants our intention is to dive deeper into the wonder of nature around us, share our knowledge and give a boost to our health and wellbeing.

About the event
For our October wander, we invite you to join Joanna for a fungi foray. As the season cools, the damp woodland floor offers perfect conditions for all kinds of possible magical appearances - perhaps jewel coloured waxcaps, swathes of honey fungus, turkey tail, parasols, shaggy ink caps or puffballs…the possibilities are many!
Our session will include poetry and folklore as well as some fascinating mushroom and fungi facts.
Our Wellbeing Wanders have a mindfulness approach woven in. There will be opportunities for each of us to share something of our own knowledge and the meaning trees have for us in pairs, small groups or all together (but there is never any pressure or expectation to join in these discussions). There may also be invitations to spend some time alone to reflect.
Fyne Court is the perfect place to explore trees at this time of year. We anticipate a lovely walk around the gardens, with a chance to sit and rest and take in the beauty along the way. There will also be the opportunity to visit the courtyard café to purchase refreshments afterwards.
