Union Walk - Medieval Boundaries

Join our Union Walk - Medieval Boundaries to reunite yourself with landscapes past. What are the signs from parish to pasture that are still evident today?  What were the Poor Law Unions and how have they shaped the boundaries of the hills as we know it?

From enclosures to common land, find your way from field and fence through the passages of paths that make the Union Walk - Medieval Boundaries.

Starting from West Bagborough and ascending the hills from bridleways and boundaries to the highest point on the Quantock Hills before returning down again.

This walk will be around 4.6 miles in length and hilly.  Wear sturdy walking boots and clothing suitable for the weather conditions on the day and remember to bring your own refreshments, especially a drink if its warm.

Participants are responsible for their own health and safety in preparation and taking part in the event and for assessing their own risk, the safety of themselves and the suitability of any equipment used during the walk. Any medical conditions that may affect the participants during the walk should be notified to the walk leader prior to the start of the walk.
