About the event

Join us for the last of our 3 'Introduction to the Hills' Sunday guided walks showing the surrounds of some of the most enjoyable parts of hills with an experienced Walk Leader and an experienced Volunteer Ranger.

This final walk in the series is dog friendly (well-behaved dogs, please, and follow countryside code) with routes designed to avoid stiles. This is a great way to take a slow start to your Sunday in good company and be informed about these much-loved locations.

This 6.8km (approximately 4.2 miles) walk starting from Staple Plain car park will take in some of the most iconic locations on the hills, building confidence in the local routes and progressing ability around the undulating area on top of the hills. A great finale to our series of 3 Introduction to the Hills walks which have been designed to progress your ability and confidence walking on the hills. The route will enjoy a mixture of terrain but is suitable for beginners looking for an introduction to the hills or frequent walkers looking for some company on their Sunday morning walk!

What to wear/bring:

Please check the weather forecast for the day and come equipped for all that a British early Autumn day can bring. Sturdy footwear and a rain coat/trousers are advised, our walks can sometimes be wet and muddy in the Autumn with mixed terrain. Please also bring any refreshments you may want including a drink for the duration of the walk.

Dogs:

Dogs are welcome on a lead (as above).
