Passport to the Hills (walk 1 of 3)

Join us for the first of 3 'Passport to the Hills' Sunday walks showing the surrounds of some of the most enjoyable parts of hills with an experienced Quantock Hills Walk Leader and an experienced Quantock Hills Volunteer Ranger.

Book for each walk separately, complete the set of three, or just join for the walks that you can. Each walk is dog friendly (well-behaved dogs, please, and follow countryside code) with routes designed to avoid stiles. This is a great way to take a slow start to your Sunday in good company and be informed about these much-loved locations.

This 6.75km (approximately 4.2 miles) walk starting from Crowcombe Park Gate car park will take in some of the most iconic locations on the hills, building confidence in the local routes and progressing ability around the undulating area on top of the hills. A great standalone route, or one of 3 Passport to the Hills routes to progress your ability and confidence outdoors. The route will enjoy a mixture of terrain but is suitable for beginners looking for an introduction to the hills. 

What to wear/bring:

Please check the weather forecast for the day and come equipped for all that a British early Autumn day can bring. Sturdy footwear and a rain coat/trousers are advised, our walks can sometimes be wet and muddy in the Autumn with mixed terrain. Please also bring any refreshments you may want including a drink for the duration of the walk.

Dogs:

Dogs are welcome on a lead (as above).
