Beacon and Back - Black Hill Hike

Come and join us from Crowcombe on Saturday 25th July as we head on a Hurley Beacon hill hike, ascending to Black Hill and back from the village of Crowcombe.

With 6km of walking and 250m elevation, this is a chance to see Crowcombe's finest views in one staggering walk. From dragons to Drove Road its a walk for the ages as we pass historic myths and monuments.  

The walk will be across countryside tracks with some slopes so please remember to wear appropriate footwear for walking off road,  dress comfortably for the weather on the day and remember to bring your own refreshments, especially a drink if its warm.

Participants are responsible for their own health and safety in preparation and taking part in the event. If you are unsure, please contact us and we’ll be happy to answer any questions and share details about the walk quantockhills@somerset.gov.uk

Participants are responsible for wearing suitable footwear & clothing for the environment, for assessing their own risk and the safety of themselves and the suitability of any equipment they may use during the walk.

Any medical conditions that may affect the participants during the walk should be notified to the walk leader prior to the start of the walk.
