About the event
Starting from Crowcombe Park Gate Car Park and returning via Triscombe Stone Car Park, the aim of the walk is a gentle, circular walk to illustrate the many different faces of the hills. It includes the Drove, fields of a hillside farm, a short walk through wooded slopes and a return leg that will provide classic views of the vale – weather permitting.
This walk is roughly 4.5 miles (7.14km) and will take approximately 2-3 hours and is suitable for the whole family to enjoy.
You will be walking across a mix of terrains which may include some overgrown areas so appropriate footwear for walking is essential, along with suitable clothing for the weather conditions on the day. Please note that we are in Tick season so long trousers are are a good idea! (Lyme Disease UK - How To Protect Yourself From Tick Bites).
Please bring any refreshments you may require for the duration of the walk.
Tickets are £2.50 per adult and children 16 and under are free with an accompanying adult.
Meeting at Crowcombe Park Gate Car Park at 10am:
