HOPE Wellness Walk

Join the latest local HOPE Wellness Walk, a walk run by our volunteer walk leader, Jackie, in support of mental wellbeing and social prescribing.

This walk is from Nether Stowey and will visit the landscape around the area in relaxed company for a social Sunday stroll. For those seeking wellness and wellbeing in their month, this is the walk for you. A walk and talk group, reaching out to those that have experienced bereavement, illness, loneliness and mental health. The walk is equally open to those that want to support others too.

What to wear/bring:

Please check the weather forecast for the day and come equipped for all that an English early spring day can bring.  Suitable footwear, warm clothing, a hat and rain coat/trousers if needed. Please also bring a snack and a drink if required for the duration of the walk.

Terrain:

The walk will be approximately 7km (4.5 miles).

Safety:

Participants are responsible for their own health and safety in preparation and taking part in the event. If you are unsure, please contact our Community Engagement & Volunteering Officer Jon direct at jonathan.barrett@somerset.gov.uk.

Participants are responsible for assessing their own risk, the safety of themselves and the suitability of any equipment used during the walk.

Any medical conditions that may affect the participants during the walk should be notified to the walk leader prior to the start of the walk.
