Our monthly Wellbeing Wanders offer the chance to enjoy a gentle stroll with a focus on a particular nature theme each time. In small groups of up to 10, our intention is to dive deeper into the wonder of nature around us, share our knowledge and give a boost to our health and wellbeing.

About the event
For our December gathering we invite you to join Joanna for a winter-themed wander of wonder as we meet the darkest times of the year as well as the brightness of winter celebrations. There will be a focus on our winter plants of holly, ivy and mistletoe and an invitation to be involved in creating a seasonal mandala, to help us appreciate the evergreen glory and berry magic. (If you would like to, please bring a sprig of a plant that has meaning for you at this time of year, or some other item from nature, to add to our winter nature mandala).
Our Wellbeing Wanders have a mindfulness approach woven in. There will be opportunities for each of us to share something of our own knowledge and the meaning the topic has for us in pairs, small groups or all together (but there is never any pressure or expectation to join in these discussions). There may also be invitations to spend some time alone to reflect.
Our session will offer poetry and folklore, and we will explore how immersing ourselves, admiring and connecting with the winter landscape may enhance our understanding of the ‘other than human’ world and bring deeper meaning to our own lives.
To celebrate the season of yule, after our walk we shall gather in the library at Fyne Court to make merry and enjoy some seasonal tasty treats.
What to wear/bring:
Please come equipped for all that an English winter day can bring. Warm clothing, a hat and sturdy footwear and rain coat/trousers are advised.
Please also bring a drink and a snack to sustain you on the walk if you wish, plus a seasonal tasty treat to share if you would like to do so. (Please note that the Fyne Court Café is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the winter months).
