Want something different to do with the kids during the school holidays?
Come and join some of our staff and volunteers from the Quantock Hills National Landscape from 10.30am until 3.30pm for a free activity filled day for the family at the beautiful Kilve Beach. There will be various other family activities for you to get involved with over the day from 10.30am to 3.30pm, which are free and no need to book just come along on the day and join in... Our Quantock Hills Rangers will be around to guide you with some rock pooling, seaweed searching, fossil hunting and even beach cleaning if you'd like to do your bit!
Why not bring a picnic and make a day of it, with lots of fun activities and exploration on this beautiful bit of Jurassic coastline.
There will be 2 guided Beach Safari Fossil walks during the day led by Dr Andy King a well known palaeontologist from an independent ecological and geological consultancy based in somerset, Geckoella. Andy has in-depth expert knowledge of the rocks and fossils of Kilve, this is a great opportunity to learn from the experts about the rock formations along the beautiful Kilve beach towards East Quantoxhead. There is a small fee for these walks and booking is required via the separate links on our website events page:
