About the event
Starting from the village and then walking along the coast path which in some places goes along the foreshore. We will then climb steeply up by St Audries Bay to reach the summit of Beacon Hil, some 310 metres above sea level. After admiring the views towards Exmoor and maybe the Gower Peninsula in South Wales, we will carry on across the top of the Quantocks, before descending back to the car park. The route includes descending and climbing some steep pathways and lanes, as well as the uneven beach sections, where care will be needed. Sturdy and waterproof footwear will be necessary, as well as clothing appropriate for the weather conditions, which will be cold and wintery. The walk could take about six hours so please bring a packed lunch and liquid refreshment with you.
Dogs on leads welcome.
