The Slow the Flow project aimed to reduce peak flow rain events by installing natural flood management infrastucture at the top of river / streams. The project complimented the Hills to Levels projects by working across Quantock Common. The project worked across five sites and works included grip installation to move water off of flow paths, woody dams to slow water flow, and pond creation to be able to store water during periods of high rainfall. In total 17 stone grips to direct water off flow paths, 34 woody dams, 205m of cross contour flow spreaders and 2 ponds were installed.
