    Quantock Explorer Walks are guided walks led by specially trained Quantock Volunteer Rangers to help you explore the Quantocks better. 

    Quantock Volunteer Rangers Don & John will lead you on a guided walk from Holford Bowling Green to Bicknoller Post and back.  A moderate walk of approximately 8 kilometres (5 miles) from Holford to the highest point on this walk being 302 metres above sea level on the Quantock Hills.  Views from the summit will depend on the weather but are likely to include the Brendon hills, Exmoor and South Wales.  The route will be along rural tracks, which may be muddy and stony, the route back will take in one of the many combes that radiate from Holford.Sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing should be worn; the walk will take about three hours so you should bring food and drink with you.

    Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.

    £5 per person. All proceeds from these walks will be directed back into the training and co-ordination of the fabulous AONB volunteers.

    Experience the iconic red deer rut with Quantock and Forestry Commission Ranger Owen Jones who will take you on a guided walk and explain the hows and whys and where's of red deer in the Quantocks.     The Quantock Explorer Walks are a series of guided walks led by specially trained Quantock Volunteer Rangers to help you better explore the Quantock Hills.

    Volunteer rangers, George and Philip, will lead you on a guided walk from Bicknoller around the northern end of the hills following part of the Coleridge Way, up Vinney Combe and through the stunning heathland and back to Bicknoller. Distance: 8km (5 miles). Views from the summit will depend on the weather but are likely to include the Brendon hills, Exmoor and Quantock Coastline.

    Some of the pathways will be very muddy, and some will be stoney, so sturdy and waterproof footwear will be necessary, as well as clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.
    You should bring a packed lunch and liquid refreshment with you.

    Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead.
