Other ideas for enjoying the Quantocks

Other ideas for enjoying the Quantocks

There’s more to the Quantocks than just fabulous views, here are some other ideas

Have a picnic at Staple Plain.  An ‘easy access’ trail from the carpark takes you through woodland to a small picnic area.  No toilet facilities.

Ramscombe is a grassy glad in the middle of woodland which has bbq and picnic facilities, toilets, parking and woodland trails.  There’s enough space for the kids to run about and explore the shallow streams while you soak up the sunshine.

How about a day at the beach?  Kilve beach as good parking and facilities, has a picnic area and great rock pooling for the kids.

West Somerset Railway has steam trains that run from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead and makes a great day out.  http://www.west-somerset-railway.co.uk or call 01643 704 996

Fyne Court in Broomfield has nature trails, picnic area, toilets and Fyne Court Cafe, open Weds - Fri from 10.30 - 4.00 and Sat - Sun from 10.00 - 5.00.
