Combe Horse Riding
Ideal forest tracks through Great Wood
Great Wood has plenty of wide tracks with a good surface that are well maintained. The majority of tracks are easy going with some steep places.
Get an Ordnance Survey Explorer 140 map which shows the many bridleways you can take.
Quantock Greenway (northern loop) is a promoted route although the terrain can be steep and stoney in places. Follow the green arrows, and download further route details from the visitor map.
Coleridge Way bridle way links Nether Stowey to Exford. Follow the quill logos and download further route details from the visitor map.
Do remember horse riders are required by law to give way to walkers, and florescent vests are recommended if you are riding on roads.
